To Sea or not to sea - Collected Poems by Aidan Sharkey

Aidan has always had a great interest in poetry and in the past his poem 'Thirteen' won first prize in the annual Allingham poetry competition. He was an active member of the highly successful Killybegs Writers Group which was also attended and co-founded by his sister the acclaimed published poet Noelle Vial. Over the years Aidan's viewpoints have been published in The Irish Times and he has made numerous contributions to radio. His poem 'A Christmas Gift' was read out on radio by Gay Byrne in the past during the Christmas season. In the Netherlands today his poetry is much loved and a number of his poems are recorded as songs. This collection of all his poetry ensures his poems will be loved and remembered not only in the Netherlands and his beloved Donegal but in all places where poetry still speaks to and connects with the human heart.
