The melodic playing of Emer Mayock has placed her at the forefront of traditional Irish music. A native of Ross, Ireland, a small village near Castlebar in County Mayo, Mayock began playing the tin whistle at the age of five. By her teens, she had mastered the instrument, as well as the timber flute.
