In this area of south-west Donegal where the mountains predominate, we have a wonderful topography of historical and architectural interest. However with the passage of time, neglect, indifference and environmental changes stone bridges are consequently subject to threat.
Therefore the more we study our heritage the better these structures will be understood, appreciated and preserved. It is hoped that this book will encourage and help foster such beliefs.
