Description

Réabhlóid 1798 i Loch Garman ba théama do “Ceol an Phíobaire” , chéad úrscéal an údair seo. Lár na 17ú aoise is cúlra don scéal seo faoi shagart arbh éigean dó teitheadh óna chontae dúchais. An sagart féin a insíonn an scéal agus tugann sé cuntas réadúil faoin anró a d’fhulaing pobal Loch Garman le linn réimeas Chromuel agus faoina shaol féin mar dheoraí i bPrág agus sa Róimh.
Tá iarracht déanta ag an údar na canúintí a bhí á labhairt i Loch Garman ag an am a chur i mbéal na gcarachtar.

The author’s first novel “Ceol an Phíobaire” tells the story of the 1798 rebellion in Wexford. This novel, set in the middle of the 17th century, tells the story of a priest who had to flee from his native county.
The priest himself tells the story and gives a realistic account of the plight of the people of Wexford during the reign of Cromwell and of his life in exile in Prague and in Rome.
