The author’s first novel “Ceol an Phíobaire” tells the story of the 1798 rebellion in Wexford. This novel, set in the middle of the 17th century, tells the story of a priest who had to flee from his native county.
The priest himself tells the story and gives a realistic account of the plight of the people of Wexford during the reign of Cromwell and of his life in exile in Prague and in Rome.
