I am weaving connections from the past to the present.
I am a hand weaver using my father's traditional Donegal loom. I weave at my home on the Sliabh Liag Peninsula in South West Donegal in Ireland. The craft of weaving has been in my family for several generations. My products are made from 100% wool which is spun and dyed locally in Donegal yarns in the neighbouring village of Kilcar.
I draw my inspiration from the colours and textures from the rugged and beautiful landscape which surrounds me and from Inish Meain, Aran Islands, County Galway. In addition to scarves, stoles and blankets, I make ponchos, waistcoats, ruanas, cushions, bags and crioses.
It is a great source of joy for me to keep the family tradition alive and I hope that the tweed and products that I create bring a similar joy and warmth to you.
