Description
DEREK FANNING was born in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway ifor n February 1971 and grew up in Birr, Co. Offaly. He was educated in Birr National School, Stonybust College, Lancashire, England and De Montfort University Leicester, England.
Since Leaving De Montfort UNiversity in 1993, hehas lived and worked in Birr and currently works as a journalist for ''The midland Tribute'', which is based in the south offaly town.
