Description
The selected poems in this volume are drawn from a body of work written in Irish over the last twenty five years. The journey begins in the west of Ireland in the late eighties, continues through the continent – France, Germany and Poland – and returns to the insular world in Wales shortly after the beginning of the new Milennium.
Diarmuid Johnson is a poet, skilled musician, experienced scholar and translator of Celtic literature, who writes in Irish, English and Welsh. He has published several volumes of poetry, including Súil Saoir, Cló Iar-Chonnacht (Ireland) 2004, Another Language, Motivex (Poland) 2009, A Young Sun, Eikon (Romania) 2012, and two volumes of prose including Y Gwyddel, Gomer (Wales) 2010. His music is known to audiences in countries throughout Europe. Currently he is bard in residence at Rhos-y-Gilwen House, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
