Cúrsa comhtháite, taitneamhach, páistelárnach
le haghaidh múineadh na Gaeilge atá i Séideán
Sí, cúrsa a chuideoidh le forbairt teanga, chognaíoch, mhothúchánach
agus shamhlaíoch an pháiste. Is ar an bpáiste
féin, ar na riachtanais teanga atá aige/aici
agus ar a c(h)uid ábhar spéise atá an
phríomhbhéim. Ar scoileanna Gaeltachta agus
ar scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge atá an cúrsa
dírithe go príomha ach tá sé oiriúnach,
leis, do scoileanna eile. Tagann an cúrsa Séideán
Sí leis an gcur chuige atá leagtha síos
in Curaclam na Bunscoile – Gaeilge (1999). Tá sé bunaithe
ar an gcur chuige cumarsáideach agus déantar
comhtháthú ann ar an gceithre scil:
- éisteacht
- labhairt
- léitheoireacht
- scríbhneoireacht
Foireann
dearthóirí curaclaim a bhfuil taithí fada
teagaisc acu i scoileanna Gaeltachta agus i scoileanna
lán-Ghaeilge agus atá ar iasacht óna
gcuid scoileanna atá ag scríobh an ábhair.
Comhthionscadalé Séideán Sí idir an Roinn Oideachais
agus Eolaíochta agus Foras na Gaeilge. Tá an
scéim á stiúradh
ag Ionad Oideachais Dhún na nGall.
An
integrated, enjoyable and child-centred course for the
teaching of Irish which aims to
develop the language, cognitive, emotional and creative
skills of the child. Main emphasis
is placed on the child and on his/her language requirements
and particular interests. Prepared specifically for schools in the Gaeltacht
and Gaelscoileanna but also suitable
for use in English medium schools.
All the material is based on the
guidelines and themes of the revised Primary
Curriculum (1999). It is based on the communicative
approach to language teaching and
integrates the following four skills:
- listening
- speaking
- reading
- writing
Séideán Sí is
a joint undertaking of the Department of Education & Science
and Foras na Gaeilge. The material is prepared by teachers
with extensive
experience of teaching in Irish medium schools, who are
currently seconded to the project. The project is administered
by the Donegal Education Centre.
